Mission Trip to Brazil

Summer of 2002

Isaiah 55:12

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

 We witnessed GOD'S FAITHFULNESS again as we took a team of young people to Brazil.  What a blessing to be involved in their lives and to be challenged by their walk with the Lord!!!

Where did we go?

We flew into Brazilia, then went by bus about 9 hours north to the interior town of Formoso.  Three missionary families live in the town and work with the Javaé Indians in the villages nearby.

What did we do?

We built a house for Josué & Ivanete Lima, a Brazilian missionary couple who are working with the Javaé Indians. 

The walls were already up, but it needed completed.  The team worked hard, had a good time, and were a blessing to the Limas. 

What did we learn?

We learned what God is doing in other parts of the world and how we can fit into the job of reaching the world for Christ.  God wants each of us to be involved in the Great Commission.  Several members of the team are trusting God to use them in missions.  ALL members of the team are devoted to serving God in whatever way He wants to use them.  .
